When I had my first solo exhibition at Døla Atelier in February 2021, I sold all my original artworks and realized that being an artist was my true passion. Since then, I have had several exhibitions both locally and nationally.

You can experience some of my artwork at Breiseth Hotel – known as Lillehammer’s Artist Hotel, in Bryggeriet doctors’ clinic, Lillehammer local hospital, some waiting rooms for physiotherapy and neuropsychology, art galleries and private homes/cabins. Some professional interior designers also use my artworks in collaboration with real estate agencies for styling/decoration purposes.

I make all promotion designs for shows/exhibitions like posters, brochures, banners, digital posts on social media, webpages, advertisements, and more.

I live in Spain for a while now, developing my art.

They are four paintings, acrylic on canvases 50x70 cm, titled: FemErgy - Rising, FemErgy - Spreading, FemErgy - InterActing, FemErgy - Caring. In a world where women and children are suffering the most from wars and battles, my thoughts and hands reaches out for them.

First Hotel Breiseth

15.07.23 - 15.09.24

First Hotel Breiseth is the artist hotel in the heart of Lillehammer, situated by the Lillehammer Art Museum. The hotel was established in 1898. During the first 40 years, the hotel was strongly influenced by a colony of artists, later known as the Lillehammer malerne. Art from this period is still here and emphasizes the special atmosphere and charm.

I am humbled and proud to exhibit in these historic surroundings. My expressions are characterized by having grown up in a more modern time, with a graphic background from UK. The artworks are visible in the hotel rooms in the hotel's gallery. When I return from my stay in Spain, I will open a separate exhibition at the Breiseth Hotel from July - September.

Bryggeriet Legesenter

Here we are in the waiting room at the doctors' office. How do you spend your time, apart from staring at your mobile phone while waiting? I am pleased to have been responsible for the interior styling and decorations. I've been here many times myself over the last years, staring at the white empty walls - with nothing to focus on other than my own concerns.
You can watch nine pieces of my original artwork on display. If my expressions of life can give some soothing comfort, I would be very happy.

Lillehammer sykehus - Hospital

On display - from sept 2023

I have donated this work of art to the maternity ward, women's clinic (Lillehammer Hospital) as a gift for the 10th anniversary in September 2023. In 2012 I made this painting entitled "Motherhood". It has been tucked away and forgotten for a long time, but is now given new life. I want once again to focus on #women's health. It was in Hoi An in Vietnam in 2001, I drew several sketches of people and sculptures during my journey, (I always do when I'm travelling around the world). I was 29 years old, and at the time I was thinking of adopting a child. Due to severe pain because of #endometriosis, I was in despair and doubted whether I could have children of my own. Fortunately, miracles do happen, and I gave birth to two beautiful daughters. The sketches were transformed into a painting 11 years later. Motherhood is intense, powerful and saturated with love; a love that sparkles.

Because of my own health issues over many years, I’m very proud and happy to contribute in my own creative way.

We have found a genuine harmony in the creative processes, and share ideas, sketches and thoughts. It is a very fascinating encounter between multiple dimensions. We are both inspired by the organic nature of clay, pigments and methods, and how to convey our ideas in materials into form. We are planning more exhibitions in the future. This collaboration is of such great importance to me, for growth and development.

Lillehammer sykehus - Hospital

On display full time - from summer 2020

Pandemic time. I saw the hospital and its lights from my balcony and was thinking of the doctors, nurses, and all the health workers struggling to save people’s lives. What could I do apart from staying at home, and being forced to avoid people, constantly watching the news? In this time of crisis, the future of our local hospital also was at stake due to a long political battle. I wanted to contribute and donate a painting, in which I replaced the Olympic symbol with “Right to live”. I dedicated the artwork to the campaign leader, the incredible Bjørn Nørstegård. He made the artwork into an iconic image and sold high-quality prints to support the children’s award, and the profit was given to the children's award.

Bjørn died suddenly in 2021, but his enormous contribution will never be forgotten.

My first separate exhibition outside of my own studio and university. Despite corona times and restrictions 135 people visited Døla Atelier, and this gave me a boost to continue painting, and become the artist I'd always dreamt of being. The apron I'm wearing is made by my great mother who's an expert in sowing patchworks. It is cut out of several pieces of old jeans from my dad (RIP), brother, mother and me. A rather unique garment reflecting the support of my family. I'm very proud to wear it and to show my mothers brilliant sewing skills/techniques.
